I was very enraptured with this one. Not sure I’ve ever truly enjoyed the rivals to lovers trope, but it was done so well here. Their cat and mouse games to constantly one-up the other in both social and bedroom games was top tier. The writing itself was intoxicating. Love some dragons and magic and Prince of hell (gluttony - fully indulged in all her sensory experiences) lore.

The second of the Prince of Sin series was another enjoyable romp. A bit cheesy in content and execution, but a nice getaway from reality. I love an exploration of kink, and mostly wished it had been explored further. I can’t remember the bits of the first book that I could tell were woven into this one, but I like that it can be read as a standalone and that they all connect. I’m intrigued by what Pride’s story will be, for all it’s been teased.

Plot was fairly predictable aside from
who wrote used the cursed pen
. I didn't fully understand how it linked in with what was going on with the dragon and the repeated miscommunication was irritating but overall I enjoyed the world building

To my surprise I enjoyed this book more than book one. It wholeheartedly is Bridgerton/regency vibes mixed in with fantasy creatures. Quick to follow and had some very spicy moments. I felt like I could track the world/characters more easily than book one. Sort of had very mortally ambiguous Cinderella vibes but with a kind of enemies to lovers troupe. Some elements of the plot felt unresolved by the end but nothing major. I also took issue with the competition element and thought the tasks could have been far more creative and also more resolved. I also did think the final chapters felt a bit rushed and over too quickly compared to the earlier chapters, but overall I did enjoy it and had a good time reading.
