Throne of Secrets

Kerri Maniscalco

3.9 AVERAGE

This one fell a bit short of what I’ve come to expect from Maniscalco. A lot of the plot felt like filler, and while the Cinderella vibes with a dark twist were fun, some of it was almost too on-the-nose. The Bachelor-style drama was enjoyable, but the main character got on my nerves, which made it hard to stay fully invested. As the third book in the Prince of Sin series, it just didn’t hit as hard as her previous ones. Overall, a weaker story, but still seductive enough to keep you turning the pages.

Finally, another book for another Prince of Sin, Prince Gluttony. I really felt like this book dealt more with Gluttony trying to contain the issue with the ice dragons, and less on his relationship with FMC, Adriana. While their banter was entertaining, I wanted more of their time together, and less the circle is in peril and no one is smart enough to figure out what is going on for 85% of the book. I was also surprised that as technically the fifth Prince of Sin book, the

I love this world so much and I was so excited to jump back into it. I forgot about Gluttony's existence a wouldn't have guessed that he'd be the next prince featured but I absolutely love him. The sultry sass and sensuality this man exudes is everything. Adriana needs to man up a bit because she got a little spineless and whiny for my taste. She left great banter opportunities just floating there when I had already quipped something sassy back to our man in my head so I was a bit disappointed but whatever, I'll snark him enough in my head for the both of us.
The ending came out of nowhere and was actually a surprise which was great because I tend to predict things and I love how everything came together. Can't wait for the next edition in this series!
