*Note: originally I had this book at 3.5 stars and came back to give it 4!*
This was a fun read! I will say the Cinderella retelling - LOOSE. There are themes that coincide with Cinderella - but this has it’s own life from a retelling. I can’t DEAL with Cinderella retellings (An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn), but this one was fine. I think the strong FMC and themes of Cinderella helped
A theme I’m finding books lately - the endings are just wrapping up INCREDIBLY fast. I know that there’s nothing wrong with this…but I feel like plot development was happening and all of these other areas were popping up that with 150 pages left, I didn’t believe this was going to be wrapped up.
While I believe it ended fast, I don’t think that there were many plot hole left - I did want to know more about Eternal Rest location and how seedy it really was - but that’s just me and wanting to dive ALL into a world.
I feel like the connection of the various plot elements was lack luster - this huge revelation that tied things together was almost just swept under the rug.
Overall, I think the Prince of Sins standalones are REALLY fun - worth a read with spice and plot. I’m looking forward to more dark, spicy Bridgerton vibes with demons, fae, vampires and mortals!!
If you’re looking for a great book with some plot and spice, you can’t go wrong here!!

I felt like it could have been shorter. It was a miscommunication plot that dragged on a bit too long in my opinion.
