oh what a cute book!! honestly i was a little weary because i got mixed reviews about the author but i enjoyed this one! it was just really sweet and a nice little change of pace from your typical romance novel.

i enjoyed being tossed into the teacher side of things of high school and loved their passion for history especially because that was my least favorite subject in school. also like i didn’t even ask for it and got a cute little single parent trope and found family and it made me just tear up ugh so sweet!

i think i could’ve done without reading how rose’s hair was “bitter coffee” colored so many times but it was made up in how dorky and sweet martin was.

*heart eyes emoji for days* I just adore Olivia Dade's writing. She is just killing the body inclusive romance game. Now throw in older protagonists and they're teachers???? Plus prickly heroine/cinnamon roll hero? This trope combo was just on point for me. The back stories were so well fleshed out and real, and the side characters were everything. Plus this edition's cover is 🥵🥵🥵. My biro heart is melting.
