I should have enjoyed this book, but I simply couldn’t get through it…

I got bored. The pacing is pretty slow, stopping the story often to give context for several pages. It just wasn’t to my taste but I’m sure someone else would love it

I'm so glad I picked up this book! As an educator, I got nervous within the first chapter, thinking I would get triggered, but fortunately, I didn't stop reading, and I'm so glad! It was a good story. Grumpy / Sunshine with Rose as the grumpy one.

I think I read this years ago

H/h are both in their 40s! And Rose is not a stick figure! This is the first book I've read by Olivia, and it will not be my last. I loved how both of the characters had such real confidence issues. Loved that they found each other ❤️

Nothing to be said. Loved it. It’s about HISTORY TEACHERS? What do you want from me.

This was such a cute read! While I found Tess’s story a bit more interesting and captivating, this book has its own unique charm. I love that the story follows two teachers who are passionate about their students. They’re also dealing with divorce and navigating grief through fairly complicated dynamics, which I think will resonate with many readers.

The dialogue is adorable, with great banter that kept me engaged. The spice level is about two chili peppers out of five—just the right amount to add some heat without overpowering the sweet story. The ending was just as precious as the rest of the book, guaranteeing you'll enjoy this sweet, quick read.

Overall, it's a heartwarming story that I think many people will connect with. Definitely worth picking up!

Very sweet, low drama romance between two 40-something history teachers. I appreciated the accurate rep of teacher life in public school with romance involved. The consent between MCs was *chefs kiss* and the spice was well written. Thoroughly enjoyed my first book of this author and will be checking out her other work.
