This is such an amazing story. It is the story of a first love, a summer romance. Jack and Ellie fall in love over a summer of firsts for both of them. It is written from both of their perspectives and is told in two timelines. It begins with the beautiful love story of two people from different backgrounds falling in love. It then goes to 12 years later. We learn about the intervening years in flashbacks and memories. You see the two lovers thrown back together by a tragedy and how they fall in love all over again. It highlights the difficulties they faced in being together as young people and again what they face as they are older. The choices you must make in life to chase your dreams or your love. What sacrifices you are willing to make for the people you love. It was poignant and beautifully told. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
Thank you to Bookish Things and the author for giving me a chance to read it.

Jack and Ellie were made for each other, no matter what life throws at them. This book is a sweet and reliable romance. Not much happened in this book that was out of the “norm,” but I think that is a part of the appeal. It’s an easy ready, though a little predictable at times. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to check out more from Buck Turner! Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for an arc copy of this book.
I am very quickly becoming a fan of Buck Turner. This novel reminded me very much of The Notebook. It was a wonderful love story and I am so happy that I stumbled upon this author. Highly recommend.
I should have read this sooner! I absolutely enjoyed The Keeper of Stars. This was a very beautiful story. This was a quick read that kept me engaged throughout, and I didn't want to put this book down. This one did bring on a tissue or two, but overall, this has laughter, wisdom, and sentimental moments.

Can true love last the test of time? Even if you’re 18 when you first fall and meet? That is the story that Jack and Ellie are up against. This story was full of so many swoon worthy moments I had to keep pinching myself to make sure I was still reading the story and not dreaming, it was just so sweet. This book made me feel so many tender emotions, I was blotting my eyes to get the tears. It’s not often that a book will make me tear up so when they do, I remember them.
This was also a deviation for me in that it is a clean romance, I usually veer towards the spicier side of things. But this one was so beautifully done that it worked for me. There is something to be said about an author that can make you feel the romance without including spice, it’s an art.
The writing in this book was so well done. I felt like I was right next to the characters experiencing this story alongside them.
Probably one of my favorite things about this book was that Ellie didn’t give up her career dreams in this story. It’s all too often that we as women put our dreams aside for love, but Ellie had some strong people in her life encouraging her to continue on. I was so glad that this novel portrayed this for her.
I am so thankful to have received this beautiful package from the author, Buck Turner. He is so kind and wonderful and I wish him and this wonderful book all the success.
If you are looking for a wonderful and delightful second chance romance that was truly written in the stars, then check this one out. This book would make a perfect Hallmark movie!
