Audio for the ride home. Every year around this time I like to listen to a Christmas story or two. This one, in the “Noel” series seems to be a bit Dickensian in the lines of A Christmas Carol. Noel is definitely not the most likable character and has to really go through some things to finally see who she is. I like the way it was all wrapped up….

Super cute book. I always love reading a RPE book each holiday season and this was no exception.

Of course it was predictable, but it’s like a Hallmark movie — I can’t get enough.

Richard Paul Evans never disappoints.

Yet again disappointed. So much unnecessary drama, not enough resolution. And somehow totally not a Christmas book.

This one was a sweet story about discovering love for your family. I was kind of hoping for a romance like the others in the series, but it was still really sweet. I lost my dad two years ago, so it was especially touching to me.

Hmmm, okay, the hallmark ending helped me. I wanted to see her fix everything, and she did, and that was hopeful. I liked most of the quotes (vonnegut can get out of here with that one transphobic, anti-semicolon quote though), and the odes to writing and the characters and the day-to-day. The mc's choices floored me sometimes, but that's life. The little insights into customers were startlingly funny, too. A fairly quick read, and a good holiday package without being religious. The father-daughter love and forgiveness definitely made me cry though, so props for that!
