I flew through this book! It was such a beautiful and easy read. While I can't say I was that much of a fan of Noel everything else about this book makes up for her. I just feel for her age she was extremely naive to let things go on far as long as she did. She was extremely young when her mother died, and I just feel at some point after becoming an adult that she would have actually TALKED to her father about it. I mean as an adult most see that what they remember from childhood can be extremely skewed for reality. Other than that, I loved the story. I loved the letters and I loved Dylan. Wendy was a bit much though and I kind of hate how the father had two women in love with him like that, it was just weird and made the story feel off near the end. Grace was an amazing character and the twist with her near the end was unexpected, which made the story that much better. It's a sad story at points but does have a lot of heart. Great Christmas time read that is a tad similar to Dickin's a Christmas Carol.

This book was good despite this one flaw. For the first bit, I thought the MC was a guy. The whole story kinda felt that way. I just think Richard Paul Evans doesn't fully understand women. He's a man I understand it. Outside that it's a beautiful story.

Plot or Character Driven: Character

A father daughter story, set in a bookstore, with a little romance mixed in. Put all of these things in a book and I guarantee that I'll like it  The anonymous letters get a bit preachy for my taste, and the author falls into the trap of using money to prove love; but overall, the story is heartfelt and touching. I definitely enjoyed the read. Recommend.

This holiday story centers on woman who moves back to her town to be with her dying father, with whom she has been estranged for years. The plot and characterization are all pretty thin – and often not appealing. It’s a cozy-type holiday read that I would be OK recommending for a reader looking for that kind of book, but I couldn’t admire the bland main character and thought most of the conflicts and mysteries were kind of dumb.

I look forward to reading my favorite Christmas author every year. There are many beautiful quotes throughout this story.

Unfortunately, (first time!) I am somewhat disappointed with The Noel Letters because of .... Noel, the protagonist. RPE's characters are always well developed even though this time I find the main for the most part unlikable. Perhaps it took too long for the story to unfold and made Noel's character off putting. My stars are mostly for her father.

Liked the premise, became too corny for me in the end. Enjoyed reading a book set in Salt Lake City.

I enjoyed this book but really hated the main character Noel. I guess it’s because I easy forgive and she was just petty and refused to listen to anyone that didn’t support her truth. It was like she enjoyed being miserable so she could complain about her awful life... of course she finally sees the light and has a complete turn around. Yay for happy endings.

This was certainly the best of the Noel series. I didn’t think he would top Noel Street for me, but he certainly did. Though, RPE gets the reputation of marshmallow writing, I slightly disagree. There is substance here. He writes a solid story with just enough teeth to pull at my heart, yet it’s safe enough my aunts can read them. I’m a fan.

Great story, and really brought out the waterworks seeing everyone's kindness.
