I love the characters, lore, and world building of this series. I’m a fan of some spice (holla ACOTAR booktok for reigniting my passion for reading) but this series has become HEAVILY sexual and the plot is just randomly thrown in here and there as if the author forgot she needs to move things along. This is such a far cry from the first book of the series, which I devoured and thought might become a favorite series for me. I was wrong.

I loved the first two books, and this one just didn’t feel like it moved the plot forward. The sex scenes were  overdone to the point that it made me enjoy their relationship less. Any time they were in each others vacinity, all they could talk about was wanting to bone eachother. I will definitely continue the series and hope that it’s gets back in track when it comes to the main novels, but I was very disappointed in this addition to a series that I really have loved

Someone else said this book felt like a little of everything and nothing and I completely agree. The last one ended with so much potential for this book that was never fully realized, and I'm definitely a bit disappointed.

After the ending of City of Ruin, the anticipation for more of Raina's story is immense. But this novella will quench your thirst with little nuggets of Witch Walker lore woven into the enemies-to-lovers story of Raina's sister, Nephele. The slow burn that is Nephele and Neri is intense and sexy. And picturing Henry Cavill's Witcher character as Neri makes it even better.

Looking forward to seeing how it will all come together in book #4!

Thank you so much, Charissa Weaks, for the opportunity to read the eARC.

Wow. For what the series has been so far, that was little unhinged. And not necessarily in a good way. I can definitely say I did not like this book. The relationship between Neri and Nephele was build up so much in book two and just doesn't pay off here. The spicy bits felt gratuitous. All I can really say about this book is no. Just...no.
