Poor writing and editing. Glaring errors were somehow missed by the TWO editors who worked on this. Main character is a Mary Sue, and we were reminded of her traumatic past multiple times in the first ten chapters. Also, each chapter was headed with a quote from a character, which I found really weird and kind of awkward? Anyway, super disappointed.

Interesting idea with a consuming plot. However good it was, it only sucked me in for short period of time. I liked how every character had a purpose.

This was all-in-all pretty enjoyable. The biggest hangup for me was James - I don't think he added to the story at all and just served as a distraction from the plot. As a whodunnit, it was pretty solid. Lots of shady characters all crammed together in a (mainly) locked room mystery. Fast paced, enjoyable, and would make a nice beach read.
