This volume is a great continuity of the previous volume. The mixture of episodic crime with a specific flow is matched by the slower pace overreaching story-line. The cast of characters are slowly development and the tease with other popular DC characters is very enjoyable.

I would recommend continuing with this comic and I cant wait to read the next volume.

This book would be so much better with lout the redundant and annoying inner monologue.

Also damaging and/or stealing private property is WRONG. It doesn't matter how much money the owner has. I thought you were a hero Babs? Batgirl's anti-rich people stance is especially hypocritical considering who she allies with!

This is a lot better than volume 1, and volume 1 is great! Full of action and a bit of suspense. The villains are interesting and I was never bored. We get to see a couple members of the Bat-family and a member of the Birds of Prey, which is always fun.

A story about Barbara Gordon becoming Batgirl (again) its very much a character driven story. I can see why some people complain about the baddies in this and volume one being meh, but for me that's not really the point. The point is how they relate to Batgirl and how she is developing as a character. That said, I didn't really think the bad guys were that bad, but if that is your focus you might not really get this book.

As far as the story goes, I really enjoyed how many female character Gail Simone incorporates into the story. Groups of capable females characters taking the lead on things is still not something I get to see every day - especially not done well. They each had their unique roll to play, some for good, some for bad. What a revolutionary concept!

Moving along to the artwork, perhaps I'm just getting used to it but it didn't seem quite so pervy. The covers are simply ridiculous though! Batgirl defying all sorts of laws of nature to kick in all sorts of provocative directions! Her mother also went from looking like her clone on volume 1 to looking old and frumpy in volume 2 and sewage water glowed Caribbean blue.

Solid second volume!

It's hard to say which I like better, volume one or volume two, but I'm loving where the story is going. It's really great watching Barbra Gordon develop and come to terms with herself and her past. I also really enjoyed the villains in this one.

The art was beautiful as always.

Onto volume 3!

Batgirl's body may be back up and running but she's still working on the mental part.

Barbara Gordon continues to struggle to regain her confidence and once again faces a part of her traumatic previous injuries. We also get to see what was going on in Batgirl's world on the Night of the Owls, which is fabulous and a great look at what was going on outside of Wayne Manor at that time. It makes that Court of Owls storyline pack that much more punch (and it was already not pulling any).

Our main baddie here is Knightfall who is fascinating and ruthless. So much so that she gets some other capes' attention. I want more of that team up!

We also have Barbara dealing with the return of her mother and some whispers about James, Jr. Batgirl has more than enough on her plate but as she says, she's driven and intense and she can take it.

Side note, I really loved the art in this one too. Very realistic when she's Barbara but just the right bit of normal and extraordinary when she's Batgirl. When she has her team up I think they even briefly borrow that hero's style and it's awesome.

I really didn't get a long with this volume, and after reading this have decided that I probably won't continue reading this run of Batgirl. I do like Gail Simone's writing, but everything else feels very meh.
