I enjoyed Brody and Finley's romance. They instantly clicked when Brody rushed to meet her at the garbage dumpster and I devoured the pages of this story from that moment on.

Really good.

I was surprised how much I loved this book. I hate that it ended in a cliffhanger! I can't wait to read part 2.

I wanted to love this book so badly because I actually read book 4 and 5 first and enjoyed them so much I thought bet the whole series is this good.

Sadly I didn’t like this book as much as the other two; I felt it was a little too immature for the ages.

And if I have to hear Jake LaShae one more time I might scream!! Who says someone’s full name like that over and over and over again?

I thought Brody was going to be this big bear of a guy from the way he was portrayed in the other books.

And I hate saying this, but I was not a fan of the narrator for this book and she is narrating book 2, and I need to finish the series.. I am a nutter and I need to finish… sigh ok

SO I didn’t hate the book please don’t think that I just didn’t like parts of it. I loved how Brody did the whole notes thing that was swoon worthy.

I did think Fin grew as a character until the end, cliff-hanger and all there but I still think she is a little immature. I hope to see her grow up in the next book.

I'm a little conflicted about my feelings of this book. I enjoyed it and I liked most of the characters but I think maybe I should have saved this one for last, maybe a glimps back at where it started would have given me a better image of Brody. I really enjoyed the beginning but somewhere in the middle Brody shows his jealous, insecure side a few times and honestly I could relate to that part of him, I've met people like him but what I couldn't relate to was him just "throwing" away his baggage and all of a sudden being a great guy with no issues. I know I should have been rooting for them but to be honest, I was rooting for Jake to get his head out of his rear. The relationship with him felt more real, maybe because they got to know each other as friend or maybe because I was rooting for them and then BAM 180, Oh look new guy... I don't know. I know me and that means after A Broken Us I will feel completely different and I'll probably love Brody which is why I think I should have started there, maybe I needed to see the good side before the bad side so I could excuse it ?? That is just me I'm sure! In the end I am looking forward to seeing what's next for these two and I hope to fall in love with them in while they figure things out.

The narration was ok. Nothing I didn't specifically dislike, but nothing that stood out either.

Being in a reading slump for the last few weeks, I decided to give this short a go... usually some Chick Lit gets me out of it and kicks me in the butt, then I'm right back into my usual MO...
I must admit firstly that I do like bad books... I've discussed this with my fellow booknerds and we have agreed that we need this quote on a t-shirt haha! ;)
That being said... onto my review for Becoming Us...

I've given this 3 stars as, although I ended up liking the story in the end, I really struggled to get into it... perhaps it was purposely written like this, but it's frustratingly immature...
Becoming Us is the prequel to Broken Us, it's set 5 years previously, where we get to see Fin and Brody meet and fall in love... they're both in college so obviously still very young and it really shows... perhaps it's my age lol!...
I will most likely read Broken Us soon, although I'm not in a hurry... it seems to have better reviews than this one so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Not bad. Definitely left with a cliffhanger though. But there was a bit from the 2nd book at the end, so now I know I'll be crying when I start book 2.

I believe that I have read Amy Daws’s books out of order. I started with the Harris Brothers Series, and noticed these side characters who were mentioned. After looking into it, I realized that although you do not need to read this London Lovers Series first, it wouldn’t hurt. I downloaded the first in the London Lovers Series. I was excited to me pulled into Finley’s story, since the other books enthralled me immediately. That is not the case for this book. It was a slow burn for me.

Finley is living her best life at college, when she gets an invitation to hang out with her hot basketball playing crush, she thinks this is it. Jake LaShea is a campus God, winning in basketball, but he keeps giving different signals to Finley. After months of hanging out, Finley walks in on her friend having sex with Jake.

This at least was a blessing in disguise, because then Finley meets Brody, who she’s meant to be with. Brody seems to be the perfect guy. Eventually, for the first time, I finally read a book where the man has some trust and baggage issues, while the female lead is living carefree.

This was not my favorite book, but I think you need to read this one to understand the remaining books in the series.

uh so I got to chapter 12 and then read the synopsis and not really sure I want to keep reading. It is giving me love triangle vibes which I DESPISE. It seems like she friends with this one guy then finds another to date then the friend starts to want more then leaves and finds someone else. Like wut?

The only reason I started this book was because I read Blindsided and loved it and then I wanted to read the Harris Brothers Series so I though I would Start from the beginning but decided to just skip it.
