Kind of a strange start, was wondering at first if I hadn't missed a previous book.
Nothing really exciting happens for quite a while. Usually I read fast and want to keep reading, but this time I didn't really feel the urge to pick it back up after doing something else. Did enjoy it though! Next book is a lot better, finished that one a LOT faster.

Standard YA read pretty easy wording and grammar but overall a good storyline and in depth characters probably won’t read the rest as it is pretty easy and a long series but good nonetheless

I really enjoyed this book. Has some interesting twists on the modern vampire genre and a strong, sassy and flawed main character. Oh and a totally hot mentor.
I like that the writer doesn't talk down to her teen audience, but her main character still has a sassy, young vibe.
