Questo libro mi è piaciuta parecchio, anche se è stato un po' triste, le somiglianze con la saga di covenant sono palesi ed è ovvio che la Armentrout si sia ispirata/abbia copiato elementi di questa saga.
Ma nonostante ciò le differenze sono abbastanza da avermi fatto amare questo primo volume, non sono ancora sicura di che idea farmi della protagonista, Rose, comprendo il suo legame con Lissa ma la sua ossessione è così morbosa che non so cosa pensare del suo personaggio, non riesco a "percepirla", stessa cosa per Dimitri, nonostante loro sembrino esser ei protagonisti principali, l'attenzione è sempre su Lissa e verso la fine Christian, non che me ne lamenti, ma mi sarei aspetta un pochino di più.
Spero che il prossimo libro possa farmi cambiare idea.

I love Vampire Academy. It's my go to when I'm in a book slump even if the second half of the series is far from perfect. But, book 1 is great. Mean Girls with hot vampires? Yeah I'm sold! Imo, even Rose is great in this book. I really love how fiercely she protects Lissa, even when everyone thinks she's just a teenage brat all she cares about is her safety.
I'm a bit torn about the romance. I used to love Dimitri and Rose's dynamic but rn I find it a bit problematic. The age difference (7 years) would not bother me at all if Rose wasn't underage. And yeah it's a book but it's just a bit creepy. Still, is fiction and I guess I can live with this.
I feel like VA's 3 first books are great. They are well written, they have a good rhythm and the perfect amount of action and romance. Secondary characters are great I have a soft spot for Christian.
I'm super excited about the series and I can't wait for a book box to pick them up and finally give me an edition that doesn't look like cheap erotica.

Since I already met my reading challenge I decided to read this again. I am so glad I did, I love this series and having not read it in a while I was a bit mixed up on the storyline after watching the show on Peacock, I wasn't thrilled on the changes they did on the show but towards the end it really grew on me and I was okay with the changes, too bad they cancelled it but fortunate for me I still have this series and can read it as many times as I like.
