What kind of dialogue was that.. over descriptive, repetitive, and just in general painful to read
I'm not sure how I finished this book. The potential this story had was great but the execution was horrendous. There were 50 million iterations of "I must remain focused" and then there are the absolute robot sounding responses to anyone on the team about how they're turning over every stone and double checking all details. Like no shit, that's your job. Why are you telling your team everyday that you're doing what your job entails.
I never write book reviews, but this one sent me over the edge. At least the smut was good.

DEVOURED this book. Im gonna have to say it.. this is just as magnificant as haunting adeline. I NEEDED THIS BOOK AAHHHH!!!! On to book 2 heh

I was lucky enough to receive this book as an arc! The story followers two masks serial unalivers and a detective. The book keeps you guessing constantly. The plot and world building is fantastically written and the smut is

Yall maybe the writing isn’t for me….the author really can’t just give in to the concept of “show, don’t tell”. Everything is over explained like the reader is an idiot.
Agent darling is really not bright but I’m here for the ride I guess.
If Derek asks “are you ok?” and “I’m here for you” ONE MORE TIME I’m gonna flip. The dialogue is sooo awkward. People don’t talk like this.
