I am guessing the author took a lot of inspiration from SJM bc first off the world building and basic plot premise is so incredibly similar not to mention the nearly exact ripoff to the throne room scene in ACOMAF.
First off I am not a huge fan of modern tech and stuff being in fantasy books I just don’t think they mix well together.
I really did try and get through it because I hate to DNF books but it got to the point where I was literally flicking through pages on my kindle to try make it go quicker.
Not to even mention the FMC who is so weak and useless until the plot needs her to go kill demons, and the second hand embarrassment I got from all of the mess that was the relationship was so irritating.
I didn’t even get to the spice but Darien’s thoughts were so filthy it reminded me of Ana Huangs books.
I really wish I didn’t waste 10 hours of my life reading this.
