Cute!
I’m here for all the transition graphic novels. 13 is an important year! This is a nice celebration of that.

This was a great graphic novel of the realistic type that is so popular with my students. A guitar playing, music loving girl feels abandoned when her best friend goes off to soccer camp. Then, horror of horrors, her mom puts a halt to her endless screentime. She ends up finding friends and fun in unexpected places.

A wonderful coming of age story about growing alongside your friends without growing apart.
I really enjoyed this one and it made me really nostalgic for those teenage summers.
Cute story about an eighth grader growing up and becoming her own person over the summer.
This was a great graphic novel for anyone to read especially kids who like graphic novels. This story tells about summer and friendship and how you have to work hard to keep that friendship going. Larsonalso touches a little bit on how boys and girls can have platonic friendships
That was super boring, honestly, and the art style was... very, very not my taste and bland.
I used to like these kinds of books, but this one just struck me as a 'cool mom' 'rock 'n roll camp for girls' throwback from somebody who really writes indie comics rather than good books for kids. Trying to get some of that Raina $$$! Trying to turn the kids onto The Sundays and Riot Grrl!
A lame attempt by a member of my generation to espouse her values onto the next. Lame! So lame.

I liked the story, the conflict, resolution, and moral. Didn’t love all the artwork. Not bad, just not impressed. I still give it 4 because of the girl power.
