Honest ARC Review: I am so excited to be back at Verfallen Asylum! This is the sequel and boy was it good. Expect pure craziness and characters that are deranged. Hazel is an assassin on a mission. She is determined to get into the asylum that houses criminally insane paranormal creatures and finally kill her brother. This mission becomes increasingly more complicated the longer Hazel stays locked up with the crazy creatures. Somehow she has caught the eye of the twisted doctor and a mysterious shifter. This book is so full of deranged characters, mind blowing spice, hilarious banter, and a healthy dose of mystery. I really loved Hazel. She was convinced she was totally sane and that her life purpose was to end her brother. Hazel's a skilled killer and an immortal Phoenix but also a touch starved virgin. Her internal struggle with assassinating her brother and falling for not one but two men was so incredibly entertaining. In this book we get a lot of the asylums history as well as learn more about the characters from book one. All of the characters in this book were so much fun to read and Hazel's men were so perfect for each other and her. The sexual tension and spicy scenes in this book are next level. This was one of my most anticipated reads this year and it was so amazing. Check this book out if you like paranormal romance with deranged characters, funny banter, doctor and patient spice, bi-awakening, partially forced fated mates, orgasm therapy, and a mind boggling plot.

This was such a great read, I loved meeting Baz's sister. Hazel. She may have been a phoenix assassin, sent to kill her brother, but underneath that she was just a naïve, scared young lady. I loved watching Gonzo fall in love with her, despite himself, and finding out what Dr Stein was, was such fun!
Can't wait to read the conclusion of this series.

This was pure horror romance chaos and I was here for it!

I would definitely put this in the dark rom com category because for as much horror and gore, there were just as many laughs. Poor Hazel truly didn’t understand that there was nothing sane about herself. I also felt horrible for her because it was clear she had been manipulated her whole life.

There were so many twists, turns, and surprises throughout the book. So much chaos, the good kind. It was great being back in the Verfallen Asylum world again. Also, I didn’t realize I needed a love story for Dr. Stein, but I absolutely did.

I absolutely need book three because I need to see where this all ends up!

The spice in this was great!

Loved the first book. This one wasn’t as engaging or believable (for the genre). I definitely didn’t get any kind of romantic or sexual tension between any of the main characters. There was more between the 4 from the last book in all honesty. All of it built up way too quickly and then it was over with no real explanation.

This title is perfect because this is exactly what this book is Cute but Creepy. There are parts where it is funny and there are parts where you say this is sick. I love every minute of it. Baz is still my favorite. I can't wait for book 3.

This would have been 5 stars if the FMC hadn’t fallen in love days after meeting the MMCs.
