Painfully predictable. Not scary AT ALL because the narrator isn’t really ever scared. Narrator’s blasé attitude about the ghosts made for such a boring book. I do think this would work very well as a movie though.

I wanted to DNF after the first chapter, but my OCD won't allow me to DNF so I kept reading. The story line was intriguing for a bit, but the main character just seems like such an aloof idiot that it really detracts from the storyline. Also, there's a lot of depictions about kids being harmed, which is a no go for me.
