Both terrific and terrifying, The September House is a haunting (pun intended) about trauma, mother-daughter relationships and mental illness, all wrapped in a story about a woman who refuses to leave the haunted house she lives in. Highly recommended.

Creepy, wanted to know what exactly happened to husband. Main character was a little annoying with how accommodating she was all the time. When I reflect on the book, I remember how annoying the main character was, that stinks.

This book was definitely not for me. I love haunted house books and was excited to read it based on so many good reviews. But I didn’t like anything about it. Definitely not an author I will read again.

It was an interesting adventure! By the halfway point you start to form theories which are then thrown out. Fun!
