Such a cute Christmas Day read!

This is my second Christina Lauren and I was fairly unimpressed with the first one, so going into this I had low expectations but it was cute and Christmasy!

I almost never wish a book was longer, but I could've used some more family/chosen family background.
With a lot of side characters, some of them felt pretty irrelevant. And I wasn't totally a fan of how the third-act conflict was handled by the MMC.

The ground-hog day time loop was cute, and I'm glad it didn't last the whole book. The childhood friends to lovers romance was the standout part of this book in an adorable Christmas setting.

Reminded me why I read.
I haven’t read a book like this in a while.
I was starting to have to force myself to read. While trying to find books I enjoyed. I thought it was just another attention issue.
This book remind me how books are supposed to feel while reading. I looked forward to reading it every day.
And even though it was my first Christmas book, it was so perfect. SO FESTIVE and puts you in a Christmas mood. Glad I made the right choice. I went from forcing myself to read to not wanting to put a book, this book, down.

I’ve know for a long time that one of my favorite types of romance novels is when the heroine discovers that her true love is the person right under her nose that she ignored while crushing on guys she barely knows. I’m discovering that one of my least favorite types is the opposite—the heroine has a long-time infatuation/crush on someone she loves from afar, and then it turns into the real thing. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just doesn’t work for me— at least not in the few I’ve read. It feels too much like wish fulfillment. This is one of those types. I skimmed. It was OK.

The book was cheesy, and a bit predictable, like a Hallmark movie. I found the main character to be a little irritating and spoiled. Though I didn’t love the story, it was a decent distraction on our long holiday road trip.

Cute holiday quick read BUT (spoiler) I really thought her storyline was meant for another direction, and was saddened to find it wasn’t going that way. Light time travel but more fun spirited than technical.

I did enjoy this little Christmas read, them getting married only after 6 months of dating surprised me, but. them him only asking 2 months after dating to marry also surprises me, but I guess when you know you know. Gave me summer I turned pretty vibes and groundhog day vibes as well, it was a great book. I will be reading this next Christmas as well hopefully, unless I find other Christmas books that I like. This cabin that they go to every year sounds like a magical place, with all the snow and the lights. Also her Uncle Benny was one of my favourite characters. I do enjoy reading Christina Lauren books, they are so entertaining and I just can't put them down. I can't wait to read her other book I'll be starting soon called Twice in a blue moon, and also Love and other words, so excited.

I was soooo surprised that I rated this 5 stars. I seriously can’t believe it, but I really enjoyed this book. I’m a Christmas lover and love all Christmas media (even the cheesiest movie). The time travel aspect in this book was not present very long, but I didn’t mind because once the romance started going, I didn’t want to “start all over again.” I liked who she ended up. I liked all the characters. I had such a fun time. I didn’t think I would like friends to lovers, but it worked for me in this one.
