After reading “Things We Do In The Dark,” I had read that this book was an even stronger thriller/mystery, so I had high hopes. However, I thought that the former developed more plot twists, intriguing characters, and mystery. While this book had a new (and heavy) plot related to child kidnapping (and how families cope), it was relatively predictable and I didn’t love how there were really only 4 characters in the book… not many suspects to choose from. But I read it in a day and enjoyed it for what it was nonetheless.
Wowwwwwww. I thought there’d be one plot. There’s so much to this book. The reason it’s not five stars is because it had some dull moments but I’d definitely recommend. Audiobook
Didn’t connect with the narrator. The missing child line is already lost to other things and we’re not even 20 % in yet
Great suspenseful mystery! Characters you can care about (or not, if you decide) and a story that isn't overly complicated but threw me off a couple of times. The writing style was very informative without all the overly descriptive language I swear authors only use to hit some imaginary page requirement. I recommend to anyone looking for a good mystery and will also seek more from this author.

I really loved this book. It was a similar approach of Jennifer Hillers books. I thought the twist at the end were really good and shocking. I just feel like its not on a 5 star level like the other ones were. Overall still loved it and Ill read anything Jennifer Hiller writes
I finished this book in ONE day. Record breaking (for me)! Sooo good. Very well written. Will be reading more from this author.

my favorite jennifer hillier book!
more of a 4.5 but rounding up to a 5 star rating bc I did tear up a bit but there was a part where the story dragged and i will say i wasn't completely shocked at any twists but i did really enjoyed how it all connected together.
My ranking of Jennifer Hillier's books from favorite to least:
1. Little Secrets (5 stars)
2. The Butcher (4 stars)
3. Jar of Hearts (3 stars)
4. Things we We Do in the Dark (3 stars)
