I contemplated giving this 3 stars but I decided against it.

This story was great, really enjoyed everything that went and really enjoyed the relationship between Maddox and Devon. My only real problems so far is that I didn’t feel specifically connected to either MC. I think they were probably too similar to each other.

Nate and Xavi I’m obsessed with though

Enemies to lovers with not much angst. Lots of violent and sexual tension, though, and as stated throughout the novel, what works for them. Xavi and Nate real MVPs of the story and can't wait to read their own novel.

“I just want to hate you, have you, fuck you, and fight with you.”

true enemies to lovers with lots of tension. chemistry was off the charts and the toxic love-hate relationship was hot as fuck.

really enjoyed the first half of this book but the second half was a little slow and some of the arguments/conversations felt repetitive. would have liked to have seen more character development and also more background into why they hated each other so much instead of the constant telling. that being said i did enjoy this and think it's appropriately hyped.

“Why? Why risk it all for me?”
“Because.”
“Because?”
“Because…you’re mine or some shit.”
emotional hopeful reflective tense fast-paced

I just finished my re-read of Garron Park. This time via the newly released audiobook, and let me tell you, Brandon Francis and Gabriel Michael knocked it out of the park (or should I say trailer park?). Their narration brought Maddox and Devon’s story to life in a way that made me fall in love with them all over again.

Maddox, our resident grumpy (and occasionally feral) mechanic, and Devon, the golden-hearted trouble magnet, already had my heart from my first read. But hearing their banter, tension, and all that delicious intensity through these narrators? Chef’s kiss. It was like watching my favorite trashy reality TV show, but with actual depth, emotional gut punches, and way hotter main characters.

Nordika Night gave us an MM romance that’s equal parts raw, messy, and heartwarming, and now, with this stellar audiobook, it’s even better. Highly recommend both the book and the audio, whether you’re reading it for the first time or diving back in for a re-read like me.

Now excuse me while I stare wistfully into the distance, waiting for the audiobook of Lot 62 to drop next month.
