I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review of Garron Park.
I had first read this story on Wattpad and had fallen in love with it, now I have received ARC and I am so excited to read this once again. This is an MM romance with enemies to lovers trope. I'm reading it for the third time, because some stories are worth reading many times and this story is one of them. What captivated me was how different this story was to other enemies-to-lovers stories, how it had different ideas and content that fit perfectly like it belonged there.
OMG!!! First chapter with their first brutal, bloody hands-on fight. Devon and Maddox, the MMCs, are on a warpath to kill each other but thankfully their brothers who are best friends with each other, Nate and Xavi, stop them before they kill each other.
And the way Devon and Maddox are obsessed with each other, it shows they think about one another like a lover...so basically this is a lover's quarrel. But the way, Maddox felt bad and felt something strange for Devon when Dev was getting beaten up by his dad, that vulnerability of emotions showed that somewhere deep, they care for each other because the way Maddox took care of Devon's injury and bruises after his dad had beaten him was something out of this world, that raw emotion where they are caring for each other but still acting as if they hate each other

2.8 ⭐️
Spice: 🌶️.5/5
Format: ebook
I initially DNF’d this a few months ago, and I should’ve minded my business.
I just didn’t like this. I tried, because Red Flags & Tuesdays and Little Demon in the Details are two of my favorite books but I just don’t get the hype with this book.
I just think it wasn’t long enough to accurately portray an enemies to lovers trope. It moved too quickly, there wasn’t enough angst, and the two main characters were so immature I wanted to scream. They read more like high school students than adults in their mid-twenties. There’s also absolutely zero plot but not because there was a lot of spice, because there was barely any of that. It was just a lot of Maddox and Devon being in their heads and saying the same things over and over. So much self-deprecating, woe is me bullshit.
The “conflict” was so easily resolved that I actually cackled out loud for such a long time, it was so ridiculous.
Yeah, anyway, not pursuing this series further. However I’ll read whatever else Nordika Night writes.

Oh my goodness, I loved this so much!
This had several of my favorite tropes and I ate

This could’ve easily been a 5 stars but im in a slump rn so getting through this was more work than it should’ve been, add in the fact that even though the Author references it as a duet, you can definitely stop reading with this one.
I’ve read standard amount of “Enemies to lovers” in my life but I never seen the dynamic in which Nordika wrote these two. It’s different from what I would’ve expected and I would tell you there was nothing cliche about this story.
It is REAL.
Real in their mindset seen as the MMC’s characters are 25 but they low key act younger. Almost asif they had to become adults too early to enjoy being kids and they think that type of behavior is okay for a 25 year old man.
I can’t remember the author laying emphasis on their looks. They were described obviously but more like “beautiful disasters” than your average 6 foot something, dark haired, sharp jawed god in books. These guys are flawed. Scars/ shitty tattoos/ shitty cloths/ bad living conditions.
I loved it. I loved that when they were described, she used their flaws to do it. Nothing too dramatically beautiful but something real.
I cannot explain how much I adore an author that doesn’t write “the ordinary”
This book reads like someone actually worked their a** off to write good shit.
