oh my gooooooood this book had me in a chokehold, i read it so fast i barely slept and i'm not even mad about it.
maddox and davon are my favorites, a god tier couple, their story was so raw and honest, i loved how their relationship developed and how at the core their feelings have always been there. imagine avi and kieran from for the fans mixed with ian and mickey from shameless and you get maddox and davon.
maddox is so babygirl, i loved how in spite of probably being the main grudge-holder within his rivalry with davon he was so open and really put himself out there when it came to feelings talks.
can't wait to read the second part of their story - hope davon's dad dies in a ditch :)

In all honesty I feel like I shouldn't have liked this as much as I did 🤭 I generally do not like enemies to lovers - I just don't get that appeal. However, these two emotionally stunted train wrecks grappling with their emotions were amusing and kept me engaged with the story. A lot of their fights didn't make sense and I felt they should have grown a bit faster. Alas, I am still planning on reading the next two 🤔
The beating up each other thing was the hardest to handle. I get it, they are rivals but still. Just because they are guys it is ok for them to physically hurt one another?
