Lovely paranormal romance set in a Meiji/Taisho era Japan.
If you want a true slowburn, arranged marriage story with magical political intrigues playing in the background, this is the story for you.

I enjoyed how cosy this story felt, despite the coverage of heavier themes such as physical and emotional abuse by parents and siblings. Having read the manga before, I appreciate that the light novel gives us a clearer picture of the thoughts of Kiyoka about Miyo.
