Holy fucking shit!  that ending was perfect and i didn’t catch it until she started talking to Darius. The path to revenge is so great and the faceless old woman is such a great character.
Kill my dad? Destroy my family? fine, your entire bloodline is cursed. Starting with your grandson I will help raise every one of your male descendants and when he gets old enough and marries a nice girl and has a son, I will kill him then. So that son will not have a father to grow up with.
The book is great but I definitely think that it drags for a while. I definitely didn’t catch the fact that
Edmund was a double crosser until it was too late.
every moment is a sign that i need to get back into WTNV. Because the writing is so good!!! I can’t recommend this book enough!!!!

This is the least "Night Vale" Welcome to Night Vale book I have ever read, and that is a good and a bad thing. This is the origin story of the The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home just as the title of the book says, and 90% of the book is not set in Night Vale. For dedicated listeners on the Podcast like me, this is a disappointment. I love the dark, slightly malevolent, atmosphere of Night Vale and that is missing from the story almost completely. This truly is a stand alone novel, I do not think you have to know anything about the Podcast or the town to understand what is going on in this story. But as an introduction to the glorious world of Night Vale and it's residents (the people, the angels and 5 headed dragons) this book will disappoint.

Out of all the Nightvale books, this one was my favorite. The audibook is really wonderful. I adored it.
