This is a very very very long book, did I say long yet? It is, and at times I wanted to just throw the book at something, but feared breaking something since I read it in actual paper form.

It's verbose, self indulgent and the main character is stupidly selfish, a brat, an just annoying to the nth degree.

I’m with Lestat on this one: Quinn, I have fallen in love with you, the most 18-year-old to ever be 18-years-old.

Maybe my favorite book yet.

Thank god I've finished this!! This has been one tedious and deeply disturbing reading at some points. I'm going to read a standalone now and continue with this saga afterwards. Right now, I'm pretty tired of it.

Liked this book. If you've read the Vampire Chronicles or the Mayfair Witches series, you'll like this book.

Oh, man! Where to start… I loved rereading this book. Quinn is one of my favorite characters in Anne’s vampire series. His short life story is compelling and tragic… filled with love, ghosts, witches and vampires. This book was quite the adventure, and I loved how it crossover between the vampire world and the Mayfair witch world. Anne just had to introduce her beloved Lestat to her witches. I mean, you can’t have a story without him.

This is a re-read for me. I liked it enough to give a 4 star back in 2002.
I borrowed this from the #library. I'm giving this a 4.5-star reading in 2024.

I am enjoying the back story of the Blackwood family. However, it is a long back story - almost too much, but interesting.

Apparently, I had forgotten so much. I love that Anne had brought in others from her series, such as Merrick, Memnoch, and even the Witch's. This is fantastic!
There's a bit of laughter, a bit of sadness, and joy within the story, so that's always nice to feel; emotions. I love the writing, so simple, and I love the ending of this story.
