Slow start but it got more interesting and we ended up really enjoying it.
I really, really loved reading this debut novel by Jordan Lees. While it is a children's book and I am an adult, I really appreciated that the author doesn't shy away from writing a dark and gloomy world where light occasionally is pretty hard to find, though it shines in the found friendship between Benjamiah of the non-magical world, and Elizabella of the magical one.
The next story in this series will soon be published, but don't let fear of starting a potentially long-running series turn you off from picking up this book, as it can be read as a standalone.
Happy Reading!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for sending me a copy in exchange for a review.
This book was an utter marvel to read! I haven't read a children's book like it for sometime and I think it gives Harry Potter a good run for its money. The world building was so beautifully done, I could picture everything so clearly in my head.
The labyrinthian world, the Hanged Men police, the poppets - everything was so so so good and I cannot think of a single fault.
I cannot sing this books praises enough - everyone needs to read this.

What a wonderful, magical journey this was. I loved all the characters and getting to explore Wreathenworld. I definitely felt some minor elements/possible inspirations from Coraline, His Dark Materials, and Percy Jackson. Looking forward to the next adventure in this series!

I started this book without knowing a lot about the premise and I really liked that. I immersed myself with our main character, Benjamiah, in this completely new and intriguing world. I loved discovering all the little details and surprises it had to offer.
I thought that this first book was very complete in its world building as well as the intrigue but you can still see there's a lot in store for us in the following book(s) to come. Even if the overall intrigue isn't finished, there's a good conclusion to the story, and it completely satisfied me as a reader, even though we need to wait for 2025 to get the next book.
The Labyrinth of Lost and Found is a middle-grade story full of magic, adventure and mystery. Even though I'm a big crier when it comes to books and movies, I didn't anticipate to cry in this one, but it happened. It's a moving story about love, friendship and hope. To me, the plot twists were never predictable, which made it all the more exciting.
