An enjoyable cozy read; I especially liked the Oregon setting (and only wished there were more state references!). A lot of characters to keep track of, and a bit wordier at times than I would have liked, but still fun.

Enjoyable debut cozy set in Upper Sprocket, Oregon where Trinidad Jones is focused on opening her ice cream shop. Deeded the building by her louse of an ex- husband far from her native Miami, she relocated into a town where two other ex-wives live. Amazingly enough when she encounters one of the other wives, she really likes her. So much so that when Juliet is suspected for murder, Trinidad comes to the rescue to investigate. The other characters are interesting and the plot intriguing. Best of all is her dog, Noodles, who she rescued after he flunked out of being a service dog. All this bodes well for further adventures featuring Trinidad and crew. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Just another meh for me. Didn’t get why the MC became BFF with one of the ex wives right away. And there were more than one person that said something like, “Well her ex husband cheated on her, that can drive them to murder” (not murdering the ex husband but going crazy and kill people), what?

Cute start to a series. Man this killer... quite the guts to do all that he did in the hope of a potential pay out. I can say I did like a bunch of the side characters... but also really really hated a few (which is probably how its supposed to be).
