A must read for scholarly findings on the importance of empathy and need for love in rearing children and young adults.

There was some solid information provided. However, this won't be a book that I'll remember. It wasn't overly engaging or groundbreaking.

3.5 Stars.

I randomly found this book on the Libby app and waited a few months to finally read it. This was a really good study of how empathy affects us as humans. It was crazy to learn how crucial the presence of empathy is in one’s life to help them grow into a healthy adult. Really makes you more aware of how you treat others. Would highly recommend!

Incredibly helpful book. The authors lay a good foundation for understanding how early attachment and brain development impact the development of empathy. They include several case studies to bring the factual information to life, which makes it much easier to remember.
