I want to like this one, I really do but … but
Theres no development, they fall in love in the beginning. The love story is, cute I guess, but they know nothing about each other and we know nothing about them.
It felt like the tension and possible drama never really went there. SPOILERS COMING
We had the abusive ex, which we only see one time, he attacks the FMC, the MMC retaliates a bit on the ice and then that’s behind them.
We have the car crash but none of them gets hurt.
She loses her job but that’s over in a short conversation. She calls her friend and it’s a “we knew this would happen” and an “oh well” *shrugs* kind of moment.
I can see it, I just can’t feel it. Everything is so low key it feels like nothing happens. I can see where she was going for but it just didn’t go all the way. I needed more.
ALSO, Ava tells Harper (FMC) that she thinks her bf will propose, it’s a whole thing they discuss and later it’s never mentioned again? Just a short mention would have been great.
I could see the potential it just fell short unfortunately. It was an easy read and kind of what I needed atm which is why it’s getting 2.5 stars rounded up.
Added: the MMC calls the fmc ‘love’ in every freaking sentence and that’s only ok if he’s also British

I was getting bored of the repetitive chapters but once I hit the epilogue it kind of pulled me back.

This book was 7 shades of shit.
I was so into it at first despite the overuse of the nickname "love" but by christ see by chapter 4 I never wanted to see the word love again!
Nico is so fucking needy like Jesus give the girl some space she can handle 1 meeting on her own! This book didn't need to be as long as it was, it just kept going and going and then BOOM finished.. (I mean thank god it was over but it was almost like she was running out of time and just had to end it)
I hated the cheesiness of this book like they loved each other before the 50% mark of this book and it made me realise I am a slow burn girlie!
