This was such a fun hockey, workplace romance to read. I felt like this was a different perspective on hockey romance and I truly enjoyed that. I mean I am in my hockey romance era, so to get a little difference and spin on things was fun to read!
Harper and Nico meeting was like your typical night out at a bar or club. But I love how they meet, her getting pushed into him. I also enjoyed her boldness when they start talking and then what she says to him while they dance. Gotta love when the MFC is strong and knows what she wants. But she didn’t know what she was getting when it came to Nico. And to be honest I didn’t know either!
Nico definitely took me on a different path than what I thought he was going too, don’t get me wrong I am very happy with the path he took me on. I just love when an author does that with their writing, you think the Hero is going to be one thing based off of the blurb but when you get to reading he is totally different and makes you fall for him even more! And that is what Nico did, I just freaking loved him and how he was with Harper!!
These two together were just amazing. I loved this book and their story.
I cannot wait for the next one in the series because man oh man the little taste you get of him in here is that, just a taste to get you hooked to want to know more of him!

I was thrilled to have early access to read this new release by Cali. I've read a few of her books this year and honestly, I think this one was the best! I LOVED Nico's cocky, yet confident attitude and really loved how much he and Harper just couldn't resist each other. There's something so good about a forbidden romance. I really liked that they were both chasing their dreams and were so supportive of each other in doing so. The way that Nico was just so sure was amazing to read. He respected her without being overbearing. Definitely make sure to add this one to your TBR! Thank you so much to the author for the ARC copy!
