Once again, Phryne saves the day! and this time she has a little help.

Look, I am definitely here for the ride, and the story doesn't have to make a ton of sense. Which is good, because I read this book quickly and then after the fact was like, wait, what happened? There's a circus! There's an ex of Phryne's! What happened to her sister? Who cares, that was last book! So if you've liked the last 14 or however many of these, you'll probably like this one too.

A favorite in the series.

Late 1920's glamour. Courageous and witty heroine. What's not to love?

St Kilda's streets stand ready for the Flower Parade. And who else but Phryne Fisher should be chosen to be Queen of the Flowers ? Phryne needs, in no particular order, a dress, a swimming costume, and to solve a murder.

I thoroughly loved this book! I have not previously read the Phryne Fisher series, but will be seeking them out! Despite this being the 14th installment, it was easily relatable to a new-to-the-series reader.

Thank you to NetGalley for a digital ARC in return for a fair and honest review.

Loved this Phryne mystery! Phryne is set to be Queen of the Flowers in a parade an celebration when one of her flower maidens goes missing. This leads to some seedy local areas, and a disturbing situation at the girl's home.
Meanwhile, Phryne's adoptive daughter Ruth goes missing after beginning to question - just who is her father? The whole gang (the Butlers, Bert & Cec, Dot, Hugh, and Jane) search for her along with Phryne.
The ending was excellent particularly with regards to Ruth :)

There's a holiday and one of the young flower maidens behind Phryne disappears. Meanwhile, a circus with an old friend shows up. Then there's the mysterious guy from Scotland. Just like the last one, she also has the idiotic letters at the end of each chapter. Still, a nice read.

Again, different from the episode
Loved that Jane and Ruth got to help this time
