This was a good introduction to this new world! the characters are interesting and make you want to know more of their backstory, especially the idols. The world in general has me wanting more and I'm excited to dive into the next one to see where this is going to go!
The audiobook is well done. I wasn't the biggest fan of Alex Kydd's take on the female voice- it came off sounding almost condescending- but that's just my personal opinion. Overall they both did a wonderful job on bringing this story to life.

I really liked it ! To see an academy actually being a real school where students learn english and maths is refreshing. They still have powers and they can take a course, depending on their magical abilities, to learn to control them.
I love Daisy and this world. We have the tiniest look of one « god », we don't really know what they are, what they want and why, but the premise makes me want to read the next book immediately.
I like that Daisy doesn't seem to have any power, she's just here to balance the Norms and Idols and bring peace (and hopefully to kill all the bastards).
It reminds me of Harry Potter ; Idols being the "purebloods" and Norms the "mudbloods" (well the Norms don't have any power).
I'm not a huge fan of the 4 boys but I feel empathy towards them (specially Phoenix even is he's the worst) with what we learn about their family life.

From the very first page this book had action. There was never a dull moment in this book. It was action packed which I love in a romance book I started this book because I loved the merchandise for it and I decided to give it a shot and I’m so glad I did. I will definitely be binging this series.

This book was fantastic! I absolutely love Daisy who is the badass doesn’t take any crap from anyone FMC. She is so strong and sassy! She puts her family first which is part of why she accepts a full scholarship to the academy. I think the world that Michelle has created is unlike anything I have read before. It is full of ups and downs and I was constantly on the edge of my seat! I don’t want to give anything away, so I will just say this book is a must read!
