I seriously couldn't put this book down. It was action packed and you just had to keep the pages turning. I just downloaded book 2!
This is a paranormal monster meets science experiment romance series. Lauren has brought her own romantic twist to the classic Jekyll and Hyde story.
Our main characters Mitchell and Eden both have an alter ego that once out they have no control over. Mitchell has lived his whole life knowing about his other self and working to keep him locked up. Eden however, thinks she’s sleep walking and has no clue what’s going on, her other side leading her to Mitchell over and over again. Eden’s got a lot more going on then just her alter ego, like the reason she’s only now showing up and what triggered it. Or better yet what stopped it from happening before.
This series was a really fun read and I enjoyed the mystery and dynamic characters. It's well written in the third person, however that’s not really a style I enjoy. The story flowed really well and I liked the pace of the conflict. However the ending felt rushed, as though there were too many loose ends the author hadn’t yet addressed and had to wrap up and did so with a few small phrases at the end.

I would like book 2 now please.
Wicked Gods will give you a girl who falls in love with a couple of assholes. These said assholes have all wanted to kill said girl at least once in this book. Unfortunately, for them, not one of them actually harms her.
Breaks her heart into a million pieces - ✔
Bullies her - ✔
Lets others bully her - ✔
Falls in love with her - ✔
They really just hurt her pride but in a way each guys heart grows like 5oo times bigger because they start to develop feelings.
Enter Daisy, the girl we were talking about before. She's a Norm who doesn't really like Idols. They are a piece of work and were definitely born with a silver spoon in their mouths. Idols also like to be treated as gods and Daisy wants no part in that.
The thing I love about Daisy is that she's a strong independent woman. She has one mighty strong backbone and is definitely feisty/stubborn when it comes to her opinion/beliefs. That is until four guys start to maneuver into her life/heart. The first moment they met, they wanted to kill her. Now a day later.. they all seem to be intrigued/enamored by her.
Of course this book has a ton of secrets. I had no idea someone's mom was so close to the school or what is really going on with Daisy. Why do people want to use her for something? Maybe she isn't really a Norm but maybe a Fringe? No idea - but I have questions that need answers!
Then there's the guys: Rufio, Bryce, Morpehous, and Phoenix. Two are actual brothers but they all think of each other has family. They are pretty high level idols as well - so that makes them bad asses. These guys all have one plan: get Daisy to leave. What they don't plan on his actually liking her and wanting to protect her to all the damage and chaos that they have created.
Other than that, the sexual tension is off the charts and I can't wait for the romance to be in the air. The damn ending of a cliffhanger got me and now I'm hoping book 2 will give me more answers than questions.

This book is definitely made for a certain audience, and I am not it.
18 year olds are nauseating.
The Spice (if you could even call it that) was so boring I had to skip through some of it cause it was annoying.

Such a great start to this series! (Some slight spoilers)
Wow. I had high expectations for this book, but the author blew them out of the water! This was a great start to this reverse harem bully romance series involving God like powers. The writing is great, with minimal grammatical errors. Daisy is norm, a non magical being. Her parents are assassinated when idols, beings with god like powers, find out her father is searching for ways to kill idols and give the oppressed Norms a chance at a good life. This leads to a life on the run for daisy and her sister, doing everything she can just to keep food on the table. In this world, idols look at norms as roaches, just something worthy of being crushed. Daisy is offered a scholarship to a prestigious idol academy and she accepts, even knowing she won’t be completely safe there with all of the idols present. There, she is bullied, especially at the hands of the Magnificent four, idols who have the strongest of abilities and are as close to Gods as an idol can get. Throughout the book we watch our main characters struggle with the mindset they were raised in. Daisy think all idols are monsters, and the guys think daisy, a norm, is worthless. We watch them slowly change their perspective while trying to figure out why they have a pull to eachother. As this book ends, we’re left wondering... who is Daisy really, and why does a God want her dead? Even she doesn’t know the answer to that. So ready to read the next book and see where this interesting story goes.

Holy shit was this a good book. I literally couldn’t put it down from the moment I started it to the very end. I was obsessed. I’m so excited to see where this story goes and what else is in store for our magnificent four and daisy. Truly a 10/10 read.
2.50 ⭐️
I'm not sure what to think. I started this series not knowing what to expect. We follow the story of Daisy, a norm (without powers) who evolves in a world where idols (the highest ranking in terms of gifts and powers) have absolute power. Where they go, the others bow their heads and submit. And of course our heroine meets not one, but four idols, since it's RH. And Bully romance.
