it took me a ... while to get through this book, but that s not because it wasn’t good. TIN MAN s pace is gentle, to say the least, and the writing doesn’t arrest the reader as much as hold her attention softly, momentarily. it is a book to be savored over weeks rather than devoured in one sitting. TIN MAN is a deeply sorrowful love story between two men whose lives exist on the rougher fringes of elite Oxford, and a woman that one of them falls in love with. there are parts that drag, but mostly this book overflows with moments of great beauty. 🍑
