This book had me engrossed. It’s a long book, but I wasn’t at all waiting for it to end.
It was interesting to read how differently the students responded to the game, and yet none of it seemed far-fetched or unrealistic. Even with so many characters, the writer managed to keep it easy to follow. It’s wonderfully written.
Of course, it was troubling to read how the people behind the game operated and the reason for it all to be in place. It’s a book about control and power, and it does a good job putting its point across.
It was thrilling, had me invested, and wrapped up nicely.

El libro es bueno y rápido de leer, ilustra bien lo que conlleva el miedo y como este destruye nuestra moralidad, muestra las desigualdades sociales en un entorno bastante heterogéneo y como estas determinan comportamientos a pesar de que a ratos la narrativa se hace un poco simplista. Muestra un modelo de distopia bastante clásico que no aporta en gran medida al género. Le pongo 4 estrellas sólo por que el manga ilustra todos los elementos de mucha mejor manera

I've never gotten attached to about 38 or so people so quickly only to have them killed pages later. As happy as I was about the ending it was a story that could have benefited with an ending that would have made me distraught to truly hammer in that feeling of despair that runs throughout the book.
