It has its moments, but an overall average read. Nothing beats the battle between Superman and Doomsday from my childhood.

The DC Comics New 52 line had its successes and failures. Doomed illustrates the company's ability to blend story lines that help make its universe cohesive. It illustrates the need for Superman to trust his friends even more than the world trusts him, as they band together when he is taken over by the Doomsday virus shortly after defeating the behemoth. however, the question always arises: who sent Doomsday? The answer engulfs the entire planet in a struggle to save itself. Heroes depend upon each other; enemies find themselves allies. Strength and unity are tested, and amid all of this, Superman fights for his life, his soul, and the souls of the entire planet.

This was long, epic, fun and full of good old-fashioned action. Lots of good character stuff too. It wasn't all perfect, but I was all in.

An entertaining alternate take on the Superman/Doomsday battle and feud. This was definitely more fun than I was expecting it to be even if the art was uneven in some places.

Finally! I got the whole story. This collection was definitely what I was looking for. There is one cohesive plot made up of comics from all different types of comics. I recognized stuff from the Batman crossover and the Wonderwoman crossover. I finally feel good about having the whole story. I also want to go read more Superman. He's still not my fav, but his stuff is good, too.

An enjoyable read, if totally over the place and I'm really, but really not at ALL into the Superman/WW pairing mymy why would you do that to me?

But separately (meaning not related to their relationship) I found them to be true to their characters so that's good. I enjoyed to see the new 52 of the characters. And Lois was still in the story (in the most confusing way but I'll take what I can) so that's good.
So I'm giving this book 3 stars because I enjoyed the read and also seeing lots of DC characters. I'm keeping Clark/Diana pairing out of the equation or else I'd definitely lowered the rating just because
