Set in the same universe as Neuhold's Four Bears Construction, this new series is just more of the same (which isn't a bad thing).

Porter is a veterinarian who has taken over the clinic he used to work at while in school. Steele is a mechanic and owner of the series named Big Bull Mechanics.

They're both overworked and not looking for anything series but, unfortunately for their plans, they find each other and can't seem to stay away.

Like Four Bears, this series is riddled with new fun characters who will likely be the eventual leads in their own books as well as cameos from all of our old Four Bears friends.
Its just a good cute time. A nice balance between swoon and spice.

If you loved the Four Bears Construction Series, you will love the beginning of this new series, as they make appearances. Steele owns the local auto repair shop, while Porter is the new Vet. Both men are extremely busy with all that it takes to own your own business. Steele's employees are friends with the men of the Four Bears Construction and so is Porter. Loved this book! Can't wait for rest of the series.

Well, this was fun. A nice, fun, easy read with low angst (though we do haver a side plot with one of the main character's brother having a medical condition, but that's kinda swept aside as he and the lead's best friend are the couple in the next book...), but touches on opposite attract, friends to lover (though there's an instant connection), both characters have issues with work/life balance and friends who are supportive and yet have humour of teenagers.

You can tell this is the first book in a spin-off series from Four Bear Construction series (Starting with [b:Caulky|50715079|Caulky (Four Bears Construction, #1)|K.M. Perfect to ease self out of a reading slump (though am certain am still in its depths.).
