I really loved the characters and the plot. I wish it was a bit less pages I feel like some of it could’ve been skipped and not have any holes in the plot. It’s very descriptive.

Writing wasn’t always stellar and the world building was clunky. The mystery was fun until the culprit was revealed, which was a let down and predictable 
There is also SA at the very beginning of the book. There’s a trigger warning but I wasn’t expecting it so early on

528 pages for a story that takes place in just a few days.... It is such as short time to have a political drama, rape, attempted murder, murder, an investigation along, and an arranged marriage... 

Most importantly, the "love at first sight" feeling almost caused me to have my first did not finish of the year.  I only finished the book because it is our book club book and I paid money for it....
