This final book of the series was a bit stronger than the previous one but still a far cry from book 1 for me. I enjoyed it overall and found the conclusion satisfying enough.

It started off quite slow, but by the second half there was sufficient action that I was excited to keep reading. The end of the fighting was a little anti-climactic. I found the emotional resolution to be touching

This trilogy gripped me from the first book to the last. The rich and immersive world the author has created, inspired by the pre-Columbian Americas, is fascinating, and I don’t want to leave it! The characters are incredibly well-developed, each with unique voices, motivations, and depth. Serapio must be protected at all costs. The plot masterfully blends prophecy, politics, and intrigue, the writing is both lyrical and precise. I wish the ending had been a bit more drawn out, but the trilogy as a whole is a fantastic must-read.

Ugh I was so bored throughout this whole thing except for the very end. Didn’t feel like it had as much weight as the other two
