If the ending wasn’t so abrupt and unfulfilling,I would have enjoyed this book a bit more,dammit.
The romance between the love interests was so heart-melting at times which I thoroughly loved.I loved Alexandra(h) A LOT but sometimes she was kinda annoying.Im bittersweet about Jordan(H) because hey listen Jordan yes you,sir,have a lot to work on your trust issues.And I think buddy had a lot of groveling to do too for the things he messed up for but,,,,he didn’t do much in that area.Disappointing.

Salah satu point kenapa aku suka buku ini adalah timelinenya lumayan panjang. Ini memberi cukup ruang untuk kedua MC berkembang secara karakter, terutama Alexandra. Aku suka bagaimana dia bemetamorfosis dari seorang gadis muda lugu yang kelewat polos jadi lady yang berkepribadian kuat. Bukan berarti dia pandai berantem sambil jumpalitan atau jago debat sepanjang masa, tapi dia bisa bertahan tetap teguh dalam masa-masa sulit, menempa dirinya menjadi lebih baik, merubah musuh menjadi pendukungnya dan tahu sikon kapan untuk bersikap.
Karakter Jordan masih agak generik tapi aku suka bagaimana penulis memberinya banyak cobaan dan aksi sehingga keunggulan hero ini teruji.
Tarik ulurnya keduanya menarik dan chemistrynya bisa dipercaya. Storyline jadi menarik dengan tambahan unsur suspens yang bikin pembaca menebak-nebak sepanjang cerita.

Wonderful, indeed! I can't describe how happy I read this book. Though plot is quite cliché, everything in this book captures my heart. I'm so glad I find this feeling which I can cry and laugh during reading. I definitely have problem with my work 'cause I spent today to finish this novel. Nevertheless, I'm falling in love with Judith McNaught's again.

Long, but enjoyable, this is the story of a cynical duke and a naive dreamer of a girl, that ranges from funny to sad to sweet and everywhere in between.
Alexandra and Jordan go through so many ups and downs, from misunderstandings to disillusionment to betrayals and even, that a happily ever after ending seemed unlikely for them.
Regardless, after everything they've been through they deserve it, despite Jordan's moments of intense stupidity that nearly ruin everything. I am not sure if I'd be as forgiving as Alexandra is straight away, but forgiveness is one of love's side effects and she is deeply in love with him.
Interesting main couple that evolves, engaging story and colorful supporting characters, in an expertly narrated audiobook.
