This book has on my TBR list forever, but I don't like Regency Romance that much, so it stayed on that list for a couple of years. But I am very happy I decided to finally pick it up. The characters were great and I loved Alexandra's innocence, and how she was able to put Jordan unknowingly under her spell. Normally, I stay away from books that are long but I thought it was needed for this book. The attraction between the characters was great and I loved seeing them grow even closer together.

They are both stubborn but they can't resist each other. I especially enjoyed seeing Alexandra's personal growth in this book. She came a long way, but she always did what she felt was right. I loved the banter between her and Jordan in the second half of the book. She wasn't the same innocent girl and didn't let him walk all over her. I need to read more books where an innocent country girl is able to make a stubborn and broody duke fall in love.

I think this is the one about the kid who grew up a street urchin in India, only to become one of the UK's richest man. But I could be wrong.

Sometimes you just need to read a romance novel, and this one didn't disappoint.

I sooooooo regret not reading this series in order.

This was how I read it:

1. Almost Heaven
2. Once and Always
3. Something Wonderful

I kinda like have a mental disorder or something dammit.

And since I read Almost Heaven before Something Wonderful, I've always thought that Jordan had a freaking personality transplant. WTF.

My lord, I have stupid grin on my face right now...
"Something Wonderful" is a perfect blend of comedy and romance and I absolutely LOVE it !!!

I was looking for a cry-worthy HR book, cause you know, life's so boring nowadays that I missed crying. And this was one of the recs I've got.

A love story about a Duke and his knight in rusty armor, literally speaking. Alexandra is an innocent and naive country girl with skills that could burst a man's ego and with that very skills, tied her into a marriage of convenience to the notorious rake of London. The girl quickly got infatuated by his charms but they're budding romance had been interrupted by the death of the Duke. Of course he wasn't really dead, he came back alive like Taylor Swift in Speak Now, ending her wife's second marriage in convenience to his cousin and heir.

From the year he's been gone, she transformed into a beautiful woman who now knows he's not the idea of a person she fell in love with in the 4 days they've been married. Despite of all the misunderstandings and angst, they hit it off. There were only 50 pages left then, and I'm confused why I still haven't cried. But Alas, I'm enjoying it and that's all that matters, please just end it here.

But then the Duke got a lead that his cousin with his wife is the suspect of all his near death assassinations. He suddenly ignored her and treated her like a puppy he doesn't really want in the house anymore. And that didn't end there, during the birthday surprise they planned for him, coincidences happened that made him pull her hair, shout her that she's a murderous bitch and throw her like sack of waste. Then the villain finally had a line and you betcha, she protected him, yet again. I said, okay, if I'm Alexandra I can still forgive him, but HELL NU-UH to the question of mending the marriage. I was aghast when the doctor said he'd done all he could to save her but she's beyond hope and reach, and I was like WHAT! they're really killing her in the last 5 pages? But of course not, she's just in coma, the doctor was just capital DRAMATIC and probably just want to say those words.

Then I got pumped up cause a reader says this is the part that made them cry like a babe—The Duke beg his wife to wake up, whispers l-words and sweet nothings, and threatened to throw her family out and marry the girl she hates if she doesn't wake up- well that sure did the trick. From this point, which was 2 pages left, my expectation still did not ceased. I thought she'll finally go for the divorce she asked him in the past. But from now, we all know this book kept breaking my expectations, so what the hell... they all live HEA.

This book is sweet and brave and the epilogue had me crying of happiness and sweetness! Alexandra is now one of my favourite book heroines and Jordan really turned out to be an amazing person in the end, filled with love and passion :) going to re-read in the future, that's for sure! ;)
