i really liked the main girl and the romance was cute enough i just found it kinda ridiculous how by the end they weren't even like 'you being a serving girl doesn't matter bc at the end of the day we're all basically the same ppl and no one is above the other'. they literally just kept saying how she didn't have the heart of a serving girl and was a perfect duchess and i was like girl what. like okayyy way too hate the poor. (and literally the way the hated her accent bc it indicated she was poor and the resolution to that was just oh well now she acc speaks like the rich people like girl what🧍♀️)

This book is almost as good as A Week To Be Wicked- which I love so much I don’t think any HR will ever top it. I read a lot of this one before I even realized it was about the Duke from Colin and Minerva’s book. I was surprised to put it together because I did not like that man in their book but I was obsessed with Griff in this one.
From the start I was absolutely in love with him. Then we find out the story behind everything? GTFO. My heart aches. HOW ABSOLUTELY GOD DAMN BEAUTIFUL! Sigh.
Can we talk about the scene where they’re on his desk and he makes her recite his titles? I needed a minute to collect myself. Swoon. We got spice and a declaration in THE way it’s supposed to be done. I’ll think about that scene for ages.
Let us all reflect on his feelings/plans about Pauline’s sister at the end, too.
