Unfortunately this didn’t hit the mark for me. It was really slow and I felt like the characters didn’t have that much chemistry
Good storyline, mediocre writing. I longed for more dialogue, action and juicy details. The plot was intriguing and all my tropes were checked, so I was bummed that it was just “okay”.
Hmmh.. I found this to be fine. Wasn’t terrible but also wasn’t anything to write home about. I didn’t figure who the stalker was, so that’s a plus. But I also didn’t like how it played out. Romance wise, it was cute. I’m always a lover of grumpy/sunshine.
To keep it short, This was okay. I did enjoy the small town vibes. However, I’m not sure if I’m up to continue reading about the MANY brothers in this family.

Different, but good
This definitely feels different for a Claire Kingsley book. There is way less spice than she has previously written, but the sparks between Josiah and Audrey are still heartfelt and significant. The ending seemed a bit rushed to me, but I still loved the story.

Love them!
I was so happy to be back in Tilikum. We got little glimpse of the Baileys which I love. Of course the crazy squirrels.
Josiah is one of the grumpiest grumps. I adore him. Audrey our sunshine gal, she thought Tilikum would be a temporary spot for her, until she met the grump next door.
Also I loved her dog. I also have a derpy dog named Max

i am obsessed with claire’s bailey brothers series so, naturally, i was so excited to read this but i honestly didn’t feel any chemistry between Audrey and Josiah. it’s not hitting the same as her previous series which is a huge disappointment. i also felt like the suspense part of the book wasn’t developed very well which made it hard to be invested in.
