I probably shouldn’t have read this at 3:30 am while living alone and already freaking out about the weird noises in my house but oh well!!
This was a cute, quick and easy read. It just didn’t hold my attention the whole time and there were parts where i felt like it dragged or it didn't need to be as long as it was. When I heard this author was writing a small town romantic suspense, I was beyond excited. This book definitely surpassed all of my expectations. I loved returning to Tilikum and getting to know the Haven family better. I absolutely loved Josiah and Audrey's relationship and had so much fun watching them get together. Josiah was such a grump and Audrey was pure sunshine. I loved Josiah's relationship with his siblings and am excited for their stories. The suspense was top notch too! I highly recommend this one for small town romance fans!

The relationship between the leads felt a bit rushed, but maybe that’s how people date in their mid to late thirties, who knows

My first Claire Kingsley book and it was a hit! This was a perfect mix of romance and suspense and I will definitely be following this series and characters.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves a romance book with a hint of suspense! I couldn’t help but keep flipping page after page to find out who the stalker was. And I definitely couldn’t help but fall in love with Josiah. The towns grumpy and stoic lumberjack falling head over heels was something he thought he’d ever do again. Until Audrey, who was quite hilarious. I couldn’t help but cackle at her and her conversations with Max (who was also the star of the show)

Things you don’t expect
After having read The Miles Brother’s and the Bailey Boys I was having a hard time believing I would love the Haven’s. Leave it Claire to prove me wrong. Josiah is everything he needed to be to us fall in love with him. Waiting for the next book is going to try my patience.

I adored this first book in the new series! We follow Josiah and Audrey. Audrey is new to town and living next door to Josiah’s newest project. They are intrigued with each other and keep bumping into one another. Soon Audrey’s life is flipped upside down when she starts getting stalked. Josiah quick protective grump that is falling for Audrey. Audrey is torn between loving this new unexpected life she’s started and wondering if she should spread her wings. As usual with Claire there is so much warmth, love and a little spice that you never want to leave Tilikum. This has some suspense which was and different and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds!
Audrey Young moves back to her hometown for a fresh start after losing her job. She’s working at the local newspaper and soon finds herself living next to Josiah Haven. Josiah is a grumpy lumberjack type who doesn’t want to be bothered with anyone, especially Audrey. Soon though, he can’t help but looking after her when someone starts stalking her.
I love Claire Kingsley but this definitely wasn’t a hit for me. I didn’t hate it but it wasn’t the best, in my opinion. It’s definitely a slow burn romance but it felt a little choppy.
This is the first in the Haven Brothers series and I will definitely continue once the other books are released.

I have been patiently waiting for the start of this series and it did not disappoint! I love that the plot lines were a little different and the suspense kept me on my toes. I could not guess that bad guy.
