It would be quite imprudent not to mention this work is the first classic I’ve encountered of my own volition. Verily, I do owe the pleasure to one CJ who, in my time of need, came to my aid arm-and-arm with scholarship. Whence my enjoyment is concerned, Austen captured my every fancy, in ways I, admittedly, thought not probable. Though the language gave me pause, during a few particularly difficult moments, I was more often than not tittering at and dog-earing passages I’d quite like to take another look at. Come ending, I blush to think how pleased I am. I’ve decided to believe in love! The heart sings, and the heart soars.

If you read this book in high school and didn't like it, read it again. This is an iconic piece of literature and a very enjoyable read for both men and women.

I first read this book as a young man during my sophomore year of high school. I hated it. During the height of the pandemic, I reread the book to give it another chance. It was far more enjoyable than when I had first read it at age 14. There is far more humor in the book than I was able to understand in my youth. Highly suggest reading this as an adult if you only read it once in school.

my namesake. sooo gooood sooooooo romantic :) <3

Uff.
