Reread 2023:

4.75/5.00*

One of the rare cases when I enjoy a volume more the second time than the first time I have read it.

And no, I definitly didn't cry while seeing these boys amazing character develpment, I didn't cry at Kageyama's backstory, I didn't cry at Hinata setting and looking so damn happy and free as he hits the ball and I most definitly am not crying while writing this... why would you think that?

Some notes:
- "The fishing tandem from hell"
- Atsumo is calling Hinata 'Shoyo-kun' 😭
- Hinata is setting fot Atsumo

Everything that has gone into this manga already been in tip-top shape — the writing, the character development, the art style, all of it. But this last arc…it just feels like it's on another level. It is all crisper. The tempo is ratcheted up; it was hard not to fly through this because I wanted to take time to go slowly, appreciate all the work that went into this. I'm not gonna pretend I know a ton about the current roster of working mangaka, but Furudate has to be near the top of the list.
