Amazing finish to this trilogy. That said, I would be delighted to revisit this universe again. Really liked how the character arcs played out in this, lots of pay off. Rarely do I get laugh out loud moments when reading space operas like this, but there were several in this. Epic. I feel like he really stuck the landing with this.

I think I would've enjoyed this more if I read a physical copy (rather than audiobook). Sadly, wasn't my favorite. The first half really drags, and while the second half is much better, it ultimately doesn't quite wrap up in a way I found satisfying. Still glad I read this series, and the characters were endearing.

Great ending to the series. I was getting a little tired of the dragging out of discovery. How many times can you almost get to the threshold of understanding and be ripped away by circumstance? It was a bit tedious to have it meted out like such scraps, but was ultimately satisfying so I can’t really complain. Sad to leave the crew of the Vulture God behind and have to start all over with some group of misanthropes in a totally different universe.
This series was so hard to read and I’m not sure why. I don’t think I ever really clicked with the main cast of characters. It was good but for the amount of time it sucked from me, I expected a little better.
I like the essials though. And I liked the ending. Definitely stuck the landing.

A worthy finish for space opera with a fantastic world builiding, interesting story arcs and, very tchaikovsky-like, lots of big questions to think about.
